The big dig fallout 4
In a game that is rich in unique items and collectibles, we decided to focus on four categories: Magazines and Bobbleheads for their usefulness in enhancing stats, Holotapes for the occasional arcade game unlock, and Lunchboxes, given the series' history with these pieces of child-sized luggage. The same goes for the collectibles in this guide. Fallout 4 begins at an extreme corner of the map, which increases the likelihood that you'll come across many of these quests in the order we did. It assumes you're taking your time with the game rather than mainlining the story. Speaking of which, we've organized quests based on the likely order many players might experience during their playthroughs. We also touch upon the new Settlements feature of Fallout 4, which is helpful for a number of the early quests. Many of our tips will be familiar to Fallout fans, but a refresher never hurts.

In this guide, we'll help you navigate your way through Vault-Tec Workshop. Run Vault-Tec approved experiments and decide what kind of Overseer you want to be. This is also the first Workshop add-on to have quests. Clean bed linens and new toilets for all! This downloadable content allows you to build and manage your own vault, Vault 88, and comes with many new vault-related structures and items. Kind of up to you, we guess. It's time to go underground with Fallout 4's Vault-Tec Workshop. You can alternatively kill them all and take it anyway. Their garage is north of Quincy and if you jump through their hoops you can get access to a power armour suit and parts. The Atom Cats are the equivalent of a gang of 50s greasers who are well into tooling up cars, but since cars don’t work any more they’re content painting decorative flames on suits of power armour instead. It’s probably not worth it for the effort, to be honest, but it’s there.

There’s also half a suit of power armour. The one opposite where you came into the room leads to a dead end inhabited by a King Mirelurk (which is a weird walking-seahorse-looking thing that bears no resemblance to other mirelurks). There are two sections of wall in that room that you can bring down.

Early on in the dig you’ll be in a room half full of water with a couple of generators (if you reach the subway tunnels you’ve gone too far). The Big Dig with Bobbie No-Noseīobbie No-Nose is a ghoul you can find in Goodneighbour and, to cut a long story short, if you agree to help her you end up tunnelling under the city with a small robot that can destroy loose walls, fighting a bunch of mirelurks and ghouls. If you board the airship Prydwen you can officially become a Brotherhood of Steel knight and get given a suit of armour for free.

This is another easy way to get hold of a complete suit of power armour, although you do have to hang around with Paladin Danse and join the brociopaths at the Brotherhood of Steel. The mission is basically the intro tutorial to using power armour and if you can’t find it you’re ignoring everything the game is trying to lead you to. The speaking to Codsworth part will activate a quest marker that will lead you straight to the museum and trigger the quest When Freedom Calls, which involves the power armour. The first place you can get a full suit of power armour is in Concord, which is the first proper town you encounter after you leave the Vault, pausing only as you pass through Sanctuary to speak to Codsworth and look sadly at your son’s old crib (miraculously still standing after a couple of hundred years). If you’re dead keen on getting the X-01 armour then you need to be level 28 as a bare minimum before you go looking for it. higher level characters will get higher level armour spawning). Keep in mind that the level of the power armour that you find will depend on the level you are (i.e.

This being a Bethesda game we’re going to assume it’s probably not an exhaustive list, and we’ll add to it if we find any more. Turns out that those pre-war idiots left loads of power armour just lying around, and you can be the person to find them if you know where to look – and with this guide, you will! We’ve even included map pictures for the ones that are harder to find. Although not as hard to come by as you might think. A necessary, if hard to come by, part of life in Fallout 4.
